Job Overview

Mount Indie is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Engineer to join our team. As an Avionics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and testing avionics systems for various aircraft platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of avionics engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, verification methods to include review of ICDs, sustainment, modeling/simulation, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems.
  • Support Aircraft Information Management Systems (AIMS) requirements/ testing/ certification and spectrum management requirements/ testing/ certification.
  • Use knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations to define requirements, complete CNS/ATM compliance matrices, and support testing and certification of aircraft and supporting systems.
  • Support and assist systems analyses to include, but not be limited to, avionics system design/design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an ABET accredited engineering discipline, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $145,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, United States. Mount Indie offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
