Job Overview:
The Plant Operations Supervisor is accountable for the comprehensive management of Plant Operations. This role is also known as Plant Superintendent. Additional responsibilities may be assigned, and the position reports directly to the General Manager.

Base Salary of 100K - 110K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the production and engineering departments.
Supervision of 3-4 Direct Reports, including 2 Production Managers and the Chief Engineer.

  • Provides strategic direction to Plant Operations, implementing changes in work methods and equipment to optimize labor efficiency.
  • Leads, trains, and manages the Production team, ensuring overall supervision of the Plant.
  • Responsible for the procurement of linens, garments, and processing supplies.
  • Collaborates with engineering, sales, and service management to guarantee seamless plant operations.
  • Ensures adherence to company production policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Establishes benchmarks for production, quality, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Manages department budgets and oversees hiring, disciplinary actions, and employee relations.
  • Follows both written and verbal instructions, attends meetings, and performs other tasks as directed by management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • May collaborate with and support other branch personnel as required by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of management experience in a production setting, demonstrating strong supervisory and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Ability to recognize colors, sizes, and types of products.
Proficient in counting, adding, and subtracting accurately.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to comprehend and follow directions, alongside effective time management skills and a collaborative spirit.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Typical Physical Activity:

  • Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, stooping, operating a forklift, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering loaded carts weighing up to 500 lbs.
Involves reading, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 60 lbs.

Typical Environmental Conditions:

  • Production areas of a standard industrial laundry facility, characterized by fluctuations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary to visit clients or attend training sessions.
