Job Description
This faculty position offers opportunities for both outpatient and inpatient clinical care, tailored to the individual candidate's interests. The successful candidate will have an interest in developing a career as a superb clinician educator. We are well positioned to support a range of clinical and academic interests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Supervise and teach housestaff in the resident outpatient practice, if part of desired duties.
  • Supervise and teach learners (including medical students, interns, and residents) on the inpatient housestaff teaching service, if part of desired duties.
  • Conduct daily teaching rounds that use contemporary adult learning methods to promote evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching skills and continually develop as a teacher for learners at all levels.
  • Complete required evaluations of learners in a timely manner-including but not limited to written and verbal feedback.
  • Participate in other learning activities such as morning report, core conference, and other formal educational programs for undergraduate and post-graduate learners.

Research Opportunities
  • Participate in clinical and educational research, according to skills, interest, and funding.

Clinical Duties
  • Provide direct clinical care to ambulatory patients.
  • Provide direct clinical care to hospitalized patients, if inpatient work is part of the candidate's desired clinical duties.
  • Participate in night and weekend on-call duties, shared among Division faculty.
