About the Position

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Educator Physician to join our Division of General Internal Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Job Summary

This faculty position allows for significant clinical teaching of Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residents and medical students, if desired by the candidate. The successful candidate will have an interest in developing a career as a superb clinician educator.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Provide direct clinical care to ambulatory adult and pediatric patients in the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics practice, and participate in night and weekend on-call duties.
  • Teaching and Education: Supervise and teach housestaff in the resident outpatient practice, conduct daily teaching rounds, and demonstrate effective teaching skills.
  • Research: Participate in clinical and educational research according to skills, interest, and funding opportunities.
