Senior Microbiologist

The Assurance Group is seeking an experienced Senior Microbiologist to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to quality by performing Microbiological Testing on Raw Materials, Bulk, DI water and Finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to cGMP systems and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for microbiological testing
• Lead and train laboratory technicians on appropriate procedures and protocols
• Maintain inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment for laboratory use
• Ensure equipment calibration schedule and daily log sheets are up-to-date
• Prepare and perform sample analysis, including USP 61/62 testing and Celsis testing
• Compile data and prepare reports for review and approval
• Ensure Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and record keeping
• Participate in internal and external investigations involving the microbiology laboratory
• Operate autoclave for routine sterilization of laboratory supplies and media
• Prepare microbiological media, broths, and agars, including growth promotions
• Perform DI water microbial analysis and other laboratory tests as required
• Operate equipment such as analytical balances, pH meters, microscopes, and perform daily checks
• Wash glassware and supplies used in the laboratory

The ideal candidate will have prior biological experience and Celsis testing experience. A strong understanding of cGMP systems and regulatory requirements is essential.
