Job Summary

The Assurance Group is seeking an experienced Senior Microbiologist to join our team in a key quality assurance role. As a Senior Microbiologist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing microbiological testing and leading a team of laboratory technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control: Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, bulk, DI water, and finished goods to ensure compliance with cGMP systems.
  • Leadership: Lead and train laboratory technicians on appropriate procedures, maintain inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment, and ensure equipment calibration schedules are up-to-date.
  • Sample Analysis: Prepare and perform sample analysis, compile data, and prepare reports for review.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities, including Good Documentation Practices.
  • Investigations: Participate in internal and external investigations involving the microbiology laboratory.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate autoclaves for routine sterilization of laboratory supplies and media, prepare microbiological media, and perform USP 61/62 testing.
  • Testing and Analysis: Perform Celsis testing, system suitability, and DI water microbial analysis, and operate equipment such as analytical balances, pH meters, and microscopes.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Wash glassware and supplies used in the laboratory.
Requirements
  • Prior biological experience and Celsis testing experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
