Job Summary

The Assurance Group is seeking an experienced Senior Microbiologist to join our team in a quality assurance role. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products through microbiological testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, bulk, DI water, and finished goods to ensure compliance with cGMP systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Lab Management: Lead and train laboratory technicians on appropriate procedures, maintain inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment, and ensure equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Sample Analysis and Reporting: Prepare and perform sample analysis, compile data, and prepare reports for review by management.
  • Good Documentation Practices: Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities, including test results, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Investigations and Troubleshooting: Participate in internal and external investigations related to microbiological testing and laboratory operations.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate autoclave, analytical balance, pH meter, microscopes, and other laboratory equipment, and perform daily checks and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field, and prior experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of cGMP systems, microbiological testing, and laboratory procedures, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
