Contract Duration: 3+ years
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of three years' experience in significant litigation support initiatives.
- Familiarity with governmental office settings and network infrastructure.
- Expertise in internet and server-based databases, including Oracle, Relativity, and Trial Director.
- Background in legal environments or information technology.
- Location Requirement: Must be available to work in Columbia, South Carolina.
- Experience/Education: A minimum of three years in major litigation support projects or a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Communication Skills: Strong writing and verbal communication skills are crucial.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in governmental office and network environments.
- Experience with data processing systems, including office automation networks and PC-based databases.
- Proficient in various applications, including Oracle, Relativity, and other document review platforms.
- Legal/IT Background: Significant experience in legal or IT fields is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience or substantial coursework in finance/accounting or healthcare may be beneficial.
- eDiscovery Knowledge: Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery processes is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation Support: Conduct moderately complex litigation support tasks, including:
- Thorough review and analysis of case materials across various subjects, such as financial documents and healthcare records.
- Detailed indexing of case files.
- Drafting procedures for litigation support tasks.
- Document acquisition and privilege screening.
- Conducting database searches.
- Document Review: Proofread and edit deliverables.
- Team Leadership: Occasionally act as a team leader and work with minimal supervision.
- Reporting: Provide updates to Task Supervisor or Project Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
