Job Description

MedSrv, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Refund Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle Management department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial records.

About the Role:

  • Review accounts with credit balances and issue refunds as necessary to maintain positive relationships with payers and prevent future billing discrepancies.
  • Work closely with insurance carriers to offset overpayments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize medical billing software to identify and resolve credit balance issues.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, vendors, clients, and other employees to provide clear and concise information.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, including an average of 5 claims per hour and 40 accounts worked per day.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in medical billing or a related field.
  • Good keyboarding skills and knowledge of office software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Plan, organize, delegate, and prioritize work. Provide clear and effective direction to staff. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with MedSrv departments, vendors, other businesses, and our clients.

Physical Demands:

Lift between 30-50lbs at times. Limited.
