Job Title: Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3)

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) systems that meet the stringent requirements of our defense and aerospace customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement E3 design guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with governmental and non-governmental standards.
  • Design and develop E3 test procedures and participate in E3 testing to verify E3 requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement E3 solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers on E3 design and testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest E3 technologies and standards to ensure our solutions remain competitive and compliant.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience in engineering; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience in engineering; OR PhD in a STEM discipline.
  • Must have a DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain an interim Top Secret prior to starting, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-464 or MIL-STD-461.
  • 2 years of experience in RF, Test or design engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialty in Electromagnetics, RF, or analog circuitry.
  • Experience with defense and aerospace industry practices, and programmatic skills supporting BOE, RFP, ROM, CAM, WBS, Risk assessments for E3 compliance.
  • Ideal candidates can show extensive design experience with EMI filters, circuit layout and analysis for E3, shielding, lightning protection, cable and harnessing design.
  • Candidates with working knowledge and experience in modeling and simulation of E3 using commercially available software is a plus.

Salary Range: $92,600 - $139,000
Salary Range 2: $114,900 - $172,300
