Job Summary

USA Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist I to join our team. As a Medical Technologist I, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Examine and analyze biological specimens to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Operate complex laboratory instruments and equipment to perform routine and complex tests.
  • Evaluate and solve problems related to specimen collection and processing.
  • Maintain accurate and precise laboratory results by analyzing quality control data and taking corrective action.
  • Document results and actions in writing and electronically.
  • Report critical values and communicate with healthcare team members as needed.
  • Draw blood specimens from patients and work as a generalist in Blood Bank and Flow Cytometry.
  • Monitor work pending logs and maintain a neat and efficient work area.
  • Teach instrument operation and procedures to Clinical Laboratory Science students and new employees.
  • Participate in continuing education activities and proficiency testing programs.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and Infection Control and Safety Standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from an accredited institution and registry eligibility with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
