Job Overview

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Department Lead to oversee the daily operations of our hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team and contribute to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the nursing staff, including LVTs and Assistants
  • Develop and implement quality standards for nursing care
  • Collaborate with the Director of Dentistry, Exotics, Interventional Radiology/Endoscopy, Neurology & Ophthalmology departments to ensure optimal communications and efficient operations
Requirements
  • NYS Veterinary Technician Licensure required, VTS preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing in a specialty veterinary hospital
  • Proven ability to lead nursing and technical staff in a healthcare environment
