About the Job

The Advanced IT Quality Analyst/Tester role offers an opportunity to apply advanced expertise in information systems software testing, quality assurance, and quality control of both application software and systems. The Advanced Quality Analyst/Tester ensures the quality of coding, beyond just verifying application execution outcomes, by promoting rigorous testing methodologies aimed at identifying and managing software defects.

In this role, you will engage in complex quality assurance activities that require a high level of professional knowledge. While the scope of work may be smaller, you will contribute significantly to project success. In addition, you may receive guidance and mentoring as you lead quality assurance efforts and collaborate with senior team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform IT quality analysis functions, including software Quality Assurance/Quality Control methodologies and testing processes.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency.
  • Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of testing processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in performing IT quality analysis functions.
  • Experience with software Quality Assurance/Quality Control methodologies and testing processes, including manual, automation, integration, and performance/stress testing.
  • Experience with Test Management tools (e.g. Xray or TestLink).
  • Hands-on experience in test automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman or Rest Assured).
  • Advanced experience with SQL, with an understanding of database design and querying.
  • Experience with programming languages and software development technologies such as Java and.NET.
  • Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
  • Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Postman open-source testing tool.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools and procedures, specifically Jmeter and LoadRunner.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality assurance methodologies specific to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to identify defects from test cases run and other means not specifically documented.
  • Experience with web technologies including application servers and load balancing technologies.
  • Experience conducting data queries, including experience with Data Warehouse or BI Query tools for extracting and analyzing data.
  • Experience with testing techniques for mobile technologies, ensuring compatibility across various devices and platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of Accessibility testing, following established standards (e.g. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)).
