Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN PRN Labor Specialist to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and complex care to patients in the Labor and Delivery department, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and evidence-based practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of nursing.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferably in a Labor and Delivery setting.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the following AWHONN courses: within 90 days of hire for new graduates and experienced nurses new to the specialty, then required to maintain course certification thereafter.
