About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Driver/Operator to join our team at Republic Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment, as well as leading crews to complete customer projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and vacuum trucks, with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with the possibility of out-of-town travel.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
  • Accountability and punctuality are essential for this role.
  • Maintain accurate electronic vehicle logs and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CDL A with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and alcohol testing.
  • Pass a pre-employment background screening.
  • Pass the Company's Auto Insurance Qualifiers.
  • Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training.
  • Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
