About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Driver/Operator to join our team at Republic Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment, as well as leading crews to complete customer projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and vacuum trucks, with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available for on-call emergency response.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate electronic vehicle logs.
  • Collaborate with field technicians on clean-ups, spills, and other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • CDL A with tanker endorsement.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background screening.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
