The Electrician plays a crucial role in the installation and upkeep of both high and low voltage electrical systems throughout the healthcare network. This position demands expertise in electrical systems, data runs, and termination boxes, with an unwavering emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of Electrical Systems: Responsible for the upkeep and repair of electrical distribution systems, including emergency power, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, and lighting fixtures.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure adherence to accreditation and code standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols, maintain a secure work environment, and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Emergency Response: Engage in on-call duties and respond to unexpected emergencies, providing assistance as required.
  • Project Support: Collaborate on internal projects, estimate and implement maintenance strategies, and oversee contracted service providers.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a licensed electrician (Journeyman)
  • Proficient in testing and maintaining emergency generator systems
  • Experience with 480/277/208/120 single and three-phase wiring systems
  • Knowledgeable in switchgear, controls, and relays
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes, with the ability to interpret electrical design drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master Electrician License is preferred but not mandatory

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, along with climbing, bending, and maneuvering in confined spaces while working from heights.

Work Environment:
  • This position is primarily onsite.
  • Occasional travel to various facilities may be required.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is between $28.35 and $35.53 per hour.
