The Electrician plays a crucial role in the installation and upkeep of both high and low voltage electrical systems throughout our healthcare facilities. This position demands a high level of expertise in electrical systems, including data runs and termination boxes, with an unwavering focus on safety, quality, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical distribution systems, including normal and emergency power, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, and lighting fixtures.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure adherence to accreditation and code standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols, maintain a secure work environment, and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Emergency Response: Engage in on-call duties and respond to unexpected emergencies, providing necessary support.
- Project Support: Collaborate on internal projects, assisting in estimating and executing maintenance plans, and managing external contractors.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed electrician (Journeyman)
- Proficient in testing and maintaining emergency generator systems
- Experienced with 480/277/208/120 single and three-phase wiring systems
- Familiar with switchgear, controls, and relays
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes, with the ability to interpret electrical design drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master Electrician License is preferred but not mandatory
Physical Demands:
- This role requires the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as climbing, bending, and maneuvering in confined spaces while working from heights.
Work Environment:
- This position is primarily onsite, with occasional travel to various facilities as needed.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $28.35 to $35.53 per hour.
