The Electrician plays a crucial role in the installation and upkeep of both high and low voltage electrical systems throughout our facilities. This position demands a high level of expertise in electrical systems, including data runs and termination boxes, while prioritizing safety, quality, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical distribution systems, including emergency power, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, and lighting solutions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Safety Protocols: Uphold a comprehensive understanding of safety practices, ensuring a secure work environment and the use of personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Emergency Response: Engage in on-call duties and respond promptly to unforeseen emergencies, providing necessary support.
- Project Collaboration: Assist in internal projects, including estimating and executing maintenance plans, and managing vendor contracts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed electrician (Journeyman).
- Proficient in testing and maintaining emergency generator systems.
- Experience with various wiring systems including 480/277/208/120 single and three-phase.
- Knowledgeable in switchgear, controls, and relays.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes, with the ability to interpret electrical design drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master Electrician License is preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
Work Environment:
- This position is primarily onsite, with occasional travel to other facilities as needed.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay range is $28.35 to $35.53.
