Job Summary

Kingwood Pines Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Recreation Therapist - PRN to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for developing and providing therapeutic treatment plans for individuals and groups, promoting physical and emotional well-being in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized and group therapeutic recreation plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Provide recreational activities and interventions to promote physical and emotional well-being
  • Assess and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in recreational therapy in an in-patient environment
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Recreational Therapy
  • Current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) Certification
  • CPR and HWC training completed prior to beginning work
  • Ability to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire
