Job Title: Recreation Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Kingwood Pines Hospital. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans for individuals and groups in a psychiatric and behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Lead group therapy sessions that focus on recreational activities and leisure skills
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Assess and document patient progress and outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
  • Current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification
  • CPR and HWC training
