Job Title: Solar Technician

Origis Energy is a leading renewable energy company accelerating the transition to a carbon-free future. We are seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The Solar Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and installing equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with the use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
  • Responsible for documentation, including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
  • Maintain inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Maintain high quality control on provided tools, vehicles, and materials.
  • Train, mentor, and develop laborers into apprentices.
  • Ensure continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License REQUIRED.
  • 3 years suitable employment experience; High aptitude and a strong work ethic is a must.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
