We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nuclear Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) Simulator Engineering (PSE) unit, you will play a critical role in the design, production, testing, and delivery of the PPTT to support the Next Generation Training Program (NGTP).
Key Responsibilities- Plan and conduct independent work efforts throughout the project lifecycle
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are being met
- Support on-site hardware inspections and testing of production equipment at Supplier facilities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; or
- Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or
- Qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program
- Experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program
- Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
