Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced chemical engineer to join our Materials Manufacturing area within the Fuel and Poison Materials (FPM) unit. This area is responsible for the research and testing of nuclear fuel materials, including test design, specimen fabrication, manufacturing development, and characterization.
The successful candidate will work within a team of engineering, laboratory, facility, and compliance organizations to enable and conduct test programs. They will develop and fabricate unique materials systems, plan and design laboratory equipment, and implement optimized process parameters.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a science-related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 4 years of experience, or a PhD degree and 1 year of experience.

- Document progress and analyze results
This position is targeted at engineers interested in the research, development, and deployment of equipment and facilities for the research production of novel nuclear materials, components, and systems.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, or Materials Science and Engineering
- Experience with materials science, control systems, and chemical engineering
- Experience with data analytics, statistical design of experiments, and machine learning
