Snowflake - Tableau Developer Job Description

BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Snowflake - Tableau Developer to join our team in Raleigh, NC.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Snowflake - Tableau Developer to provide analysis and leadership on data analysis projects across the DPI enterprise, focusing on School Business Data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide analysis and leadership on data analysis projects across the DPI enterprise, focusing on School Business Data.
  • Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data visualizations using Snowflake and Tableau.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data architects, and application developers to create an enterprise data reporting model that meets DPI's school business and technical requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and training to other SQL/Snowflake and Tableau developers and analysts.
Requirements
  • Experience with SQL databases and related ETL and advanced data validations in Snowflake and Azure.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau and Power BI.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field, such as Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Proven track record of solving real-world problems using data.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of different database platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and MS Access.
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing and data mining for reporting and analysis.
  • Understanding of modeling strategies, including dimensional, Snowflake, relational, and unstructured.
  • Experience designing and delivering data mapping specifications for large reporting platforms.
  • Experience with ERD/Data Modelling tools, such as Toad.
  • Experience with data reporting tools, including Tableau and Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile/Hybrid project management.
  • Experience with data reporting tools, including Power BI and Viya.

BCforward offers a competitive pay rate of $55.00 per hour and the possibility of contract extension.

This is an onsite position in Raleigh, NC.
