Assembler 3 Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembler 3 to join our team at Kratos Defense. As an Assembler 3, you will play a critical role in providing daily assembly and integration support for all Inventory and Project assembly builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble complex electronic equipment using schematics, drawings, BOM, and detailed build instructions.
  • Build wiring harnesses using interconnect diagrams and cable specifications.
  • Solder wires to printed circuit boards or other points of contact in an assembly.
  • Repair failed assemblies as received on customer RMA jobs.
  • Interact with the Engineering and QA community on an as-needed basis to ensure quality is in every build.

Requirements:

  • Able to assemble complex electronic equipment using schematics, drawings, BOM, and detailed build instructions.
  • Able to build wiring harnesses using interconnect diagrams and cable specifications.
  • Able to solder wires to printed circuit boards or other points of contact in an assembly.
  • Able to repair failed assemblies as received on customer RMA jobs.
  • Must have a positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving work environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Current certification to IPC soldering standards.
  • Able to perform fine pitch soldering of through-hole and surface mount components on printed circuit boards.
  • Previous experience assembling complex electronic chassis.
  • Previous experience assembling single-bay and dual-bay electronic racks.
