About the Position:

DBG Arkansas, LLC is expanding and is in search of a Production Scheduling Specialist to enhance our operations.

As a comprehensive service provider, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional quality, timely delivery, and cost-effective solutions to our clients. Our facility specializes in various processes including metal stamping, forming, painting, and assembly. We utilize advanced machinery such as stamping presses, brake presses, roll forms, lasers, shears, and a sophisticated multi-stage painting process. Our operations encompass approximately 100,000 square feet of production space, with an additional 350,000 square feet available for future expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all scheduling functions within the facility, ensuring production and inventory levels align with demand to achieve optimal customer service levels and inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with SAP development teams to streamline scheduling processes and eliminate reliance on manual spreadsheets.
  • Lead the implementation of standardized procedures for Master Production Scheduling, adhering to MRP principles.

Specific Duties:
  • Create realistic and achievable production schedules for finished goods and components, considering equipment, labor, and material availability to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Engage regularly with production managers to synchronize supply and demand.
  • Issue work orders in accordance with the production schedule.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities within the master schedule.
  • Manage production scheduling for multiple product lines.
  • Establish a consistent master production schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Analyze key performance metrics such as Customer Service Level and Master Schedule Stability.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the scheduling process.
  • Monitor and maintain the Item Master for data precision.
  • Prepare Sales & Operating Plan summaries that encompass demand, inventory, and production metrics.
  • Calculate requirements for raw materials and packaging supplies based on MRP guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in MRP requirements.
  • Support Business Development and Program Management in making reliable delivery commitments.
  • Assist in implementing Cycle Counting and Bar Coding to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and rectify inventory discrepancies as needed.
  • Coordinate rework and preventive maintenance within the production schedule.
  • Ensure die trials are integrated into production timelines.
  • Track schedule adherence and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
  • Provide training to team members to ensure continuity in your absence.
  • Reconcile work orders and manage the transition of jobs to completed status.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts as required.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • BA/BS degree in Business or a Technical field preferred.
  • APICS certification is advantageous.

Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Materials Management, with a minimum of two years in materials management.
  • Proficient in computer systems.
  • Experience with SAP and MRP is essential.
  • Familiarity with JIT and subcontracting processes.

Task Complexity:
  • Must assess information to maintain a production schedule that meets customer demands.
  • Regularly compare customer needs with actual performance and report findings.
  • Frequent interaction with Production, Shipping, Engineering, and Customer Service teams.
  • Extensive use of computers and related software.
