The Pastry Specialist plays a crucial role in executing bakery operations and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of bakery equipment. This position adheres to state and federal regulations as well as agency policies.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conducts bakery operations, which include the preparation of breads, pastries, and desserts.
  • Calculates the required quantities of baked goods and ensures precise measurements of recipe ingredients.
  • Labels and stores leftover bakery products appropriately and manages weekly supply orders.
  • Maintains inventory by tracking baking pans and essential ingredients, requesting new supplies as needed.
  • Cleans and sanitizes bakery equipment, including ovens, coolers, freezers, and specialized machines.
  • Assists in serving meals to residents and the public when necessary.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:
