Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Resource Development to join our team at MUST Ministries. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive resource development strategy to maximize fundraising efforts and support the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent MUST Ministries in a positive and professional manner, interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, clients, and donors.
  • Develop and recommend an annual strategy for resource development, aligning with the organization's strategic and operating plans.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a resource development annual budget and forecast, ensuring effective resource allocation and expense management.
  • Cultivate and solicit donors for organization-wide priorities, working collaboratively with administration, programs, volunteers, and other staff.
  • Implement a resource development strategy that effectively markets the organization and educates the public on issues, maximizing resource development efforts.
  • Support the President/CEO and Governance Committee, participating in all aspects of the gift cycle, including in-kind donations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years combined of donor and grant solicitation, marketing, and fundraising experience in an organization involving a significant number of people with diverse and varied interests and backgrounds.
  • Senior management experience with demonstrated success in teamwork, coaching others, leadership, and developing and implementing innovative concepts.
  • Successful track record of growth in resource development, continually meeting or exceeding development goals.
  • Problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel around the region and work under pressure of deadlines.
Physical and Work Requirements
  • Work is mostly performed in an office environment, with offsite meetings and events required.
  • May be required to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Requires sitting, standing, sufficient mobility, and physical reflexes.
