Job Summary

As a Merchandiser with Gulf Distributing Holdings Company LLC, you will be responsible for ensuring that all product merchandising within each assigned account meets the standards of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough merchandising calls on all assigned accounts to ensure products are displayed and stocked according to company standards.
  • Build, merchandise, and sign displays as directed by the manager to effectively showcase products and drive sales.
  • Fill and merchandise the complete product line, including coolers, shelves, and displays, to ensure maximum visibility and accessibility.
  • Ensure all paper and permanent Point of Sale materials are used in the proper manner and quantity to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner to maintain a positive working relationship.
  • Identify and report opportunities to increase sales in assigned accounts to the General Manager.
  • Monitor and report pricing variances on competitive products to the General Manager.
  • Collaborate with assigned accounts to improve shelf position and floor display placement to maximize sales potential.
  • Attend safety and driver's meetings, as well as sales meetings, to stay informed and engaged.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with owners, managers, and employees of GDH and assigned accounts.
  • Report new competitive activity in assigned accounts to the General Manager.
  • Communicate any scheduling conflicts or issues to the Manager immediately.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation is in effect in all assigned accounts to prevent expired or damaged products.
  • Check with the Manager for additional assignments after completing scheduled merchandising duties.
  • Always be aware of code dates and have out-of-date products swapped.
  • Ensure all packages are sellable and have damaged products swapped or re-packed.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and orderly, and ensure regular maintenance and repairs to minimize breakdowns.
  • Dress and maintain personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
  • Properly operate, protect from damage, and return all issued equipment.
  • Conduct all activities within company policies and procedures.
  • Report traffic violations, on or off duty, that may affect insurability to the Manager.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
  • Report accidents and injuries immediately to the Manager.
  • Perform all work activities in accordance with safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
