Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating patients with disabilities, injuries, and/or diseases using physical, chemical, and mechanical means as prescribed by a licensed physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluations and Treatments: Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and function.
  • Patient Care: Administer direct patient care based on prescriptions, utilizing appropriate evaluation techniques and designing treatment programs to meet patients' needs.
  • Documentation and Quality: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient, submitting required documentation and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, attending family meetings and responding to emergencies in accordance with department procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's Degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure: Current Physical Therapist license in New York State.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in physical therapy.
