We are in search of a skilled and motivated individual to join our team on XDefiant, an innovative multiplatform online action game developed in our studio. XDefiant is a free-to-play, fast-paced arena shooter that merges intense combat with customizable loadouts and unique factions, where teams of fighters compete for supremacy.

Role Overview

In this position, you will oversee the technical advancement of our game security protocols, safeguarding the game client against hacks and exploits, fortifying the code and data on players' systems, and establishing a secure infrastructure and server environment for our users. You will serve as the technical authority, leading a team dedicated to ensuring a seamless connected experience for players, guaranteeing fair competition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protect the game client and its interactions with the game servers
  • Collaborate with the networking team to enhance and secure network traffic
  • Investigate and address exploits and cheats within our game and others
  • Guide engineers in developing top-tier security systems and methodologies
  • Educate content creators and gameplay engineers on maximizing game security
  • Work with the production team to curate the security roadmap and strategic direction
  • Maintain and update documentation on security best practices
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in C/C++ with a solid understanding of multi-threaded programming techniques
  • Experience in securing games on both client-side and cloud environments
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with an open approach
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and mentoring capabilities
  • Excellent debugging and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed work ethic
