Role Overview

In this role, you will lead the technical evolution of our game security protocols, safeguarding the game client against hacks and exploits, fortifying the code and data on players' systems, and establishing a secure infrastructure and server environment for our community. As the technical authority, you will spearhead a team focused on enhancing the player's connected experience, ensuring equitable competition.

You'll also be an integral part of the diverse Ubisoft San Francisco team. We support various work arrangements tailored to what benefits the team most, welcoming individuals to work from our office, remotely, or a combination of both. Our priority is to foster an environment that promotes the happiness and productivity of our team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protect the game client and its interactions with the game servers
  • Collaborate with the networking team to strengthen and optimize network communications
  • Investigate and address exploits and cheats affecting our game and others
  • Guide engineers in developing top-tier security systems and practices
  • Educate content creators and gameplay engineers on maximizing game security
  • Coordinate with the production team to curate the security roadmap and strategy
  • Maintain and enhance documentation on security best practices
Qualifications

  • Proficiency in C/C++ with a solid understanding of multi-threaded programming techniques
  • Experience in securing games on both client and cloud platforms
