Job Overview

Martin/Martin, Inc. is on the lookout for a skilled Civil Project Engineer to enhance our Civil Engineering Group. This position presents an exciting chance to engage in a variety of site development initiatives, encompassing healthcare, multifamily housing, commercial spaces, industrial projects, educational institutions, and beyond.


As part of Martin/Martin, you will collaborate with a vibrant team that fosters professional growth and career advancement. Under the mentorship of a Senior Engineer, you will oversee and design projects from inception to completion. This role will provide you with the opportunity to interact with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, enriching your experience and exposure early in your career. You will also have the chance to engage in marketing efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Design and Oversight:

  • Employ AutoCAD/Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate projects of small to medium scale while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints. Guide and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.

Client and Team Collaboration:

  • Act as the main liaison with clients, contractors, and other design professionals. Participate in project meetings throughout the design and construction phases.

Quality Assurance and Administration:

  • Conduct quality control assessments of produced work, ensuring precision and compliance with established standards. Assist in project construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), and conducting field observations.

Financial Oversight:

  • Track project budgets and review/approve client invoices. Be prepared to work additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in SITE DEVELOPMENT, LAND DEVELOPMENT, or INFRASTRUCTURE.
  • At least 1 year of experience with a PE license.
  • Familiarity with or proficiency in Civil3D, StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn.
  • Demonstrated interest in participating in company initiatives.
  • Experience in construction fieldwork.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
