Job Summary

The Skilled Tradesman is a critical role within the Facilities Management team at Arkansas State University. This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled trades tasks, including carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general carpentry construction projects, including repairs and maintenance
  • Complete electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance tasks
  • Prepare reports and work orders as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Arkansas State University's safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus five years of experience in a skilled trade
  • Licensure as a Journeyman Electrician, Plumber, or HVAC Mechanic in accordance with ACA
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Regular and reliable attendance
