About the Role

We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality service is provided to our customers through the performance of regularly scheduled internal process audits, process documentation/control, and the consistent facilitation of structured improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure the program maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification and manage the instantiation of the Quality Management System.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Perform continuous product and process improvement activities, deploy and implement appropriate QMS processes, and implement audit practices for internal processes and products.
  • Monitor and Report Performance Metrics: Support the development of performance metrics, track, analyze, and report to program management on trends found in the performance metrics.
  • Provide Quality Insights: Provide the program manager with timely metrics and audit outcomes to gauge progress towards quality objectives and report to higher-level management on Quality Achievement.
  • Review and Submit Contract Deliverables: Review and submit contract deliverables as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline, and 4-6 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 2-4 years of prior relevant Quality Management experience in Systems Engineering environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to multi-task, complete tasks without direct supervision, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; excellent verbal and written skills; proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, & Project); ability to support limited local and domestic travel; and ability to be approved for a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile Development Experience: Experienced with Agile SW Development.
  • Certified Lean Six-Sigma: Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • Formal Auditor Training: Formal auditor training.
  • Quality Standards Experience: Experience auditing to external quality standards such as ISO9001/ISO20000/CMMI.
  • Performance Metrics Experience: Experience managing and developing performance metrics.
