Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at EverVet Partners. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.
Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, exams, and treatments
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to hospital protocols and standards
- Assist with laboratory tests, radiology, and other diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being
- Restrain and handle animals safely and humanely
- Perform administrative tasks, such as updating medical records and preparing laboratory samples
- High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary assistant certification preferred
- At least one year of experience in a veterinary setting; animal handling experience a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic math and writing skills; ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures; ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
- Competitive hourly rate: $14-16/hour
