Position Overview:
People First Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Consumer Loan Processor to enhance our Consumer Lending team. This role involves providing essential clerical and administrative support to facilitate the processing and closing of consumer loans for our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service by actively engaging with members to understand their financial needs, recommending suitable credit union products and services that align with their goals. Stay informed about all credit union offerings, policies, and current promotions.
  • Assist members in completing their loan applications, preparing documentation for review by a Loan Officer, and following up to track the status of applications.
  • Process approved loans efficiently, coordinating loan closing appointments, whether in-person or through electronic means, and ensure timely disbursement of funds.
  • Collaborate with partner dealerships to manage auto loan processing on behalf of our members.
  • Validate and securely file executed loan documents in the appropriate systems.

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:45 am - 5:30 pm
  • Friday: 9:15 am - 6:00 pm OR 8:45 am - 5:30 pm

Qualifications:

  • Prior lending experience is essential
  • Experience as a loan officer is preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience in consumer lending, particularly with auto loans, is highly desirable
  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Strong conflict resolution and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent listening and communication abilities
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

Salary Range:
$23.69 to $25.19
