**Job Summary**
MyCareersFuture is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Assistant Manager, IT Services. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for managing a data services portfolio and associated projects, aligning with our IT strategy.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize, redesign, or improve data services, ensuring alignment with our IT strategy.
- Monitor system health and performance, identifying potential issues that may impact user experience.
- Collaborate with vendors and teammates to provide administrative and operational support across data services.
- Partner with stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to align with our IT strategy for new and existing data services, creating system roadmaps and business processes.
- Analyze and compile stakeholder needs, concerns, and expectations to plan for enhancement and operations of new and existing data services.
- Contribute to a strong technical culture among the IT team and vendors, emphasizing technical excellence, stakeholder engagement, agility, security, and user experience.
- Manage maintenance outsourcing and contract agreements, implementing and monitoring standards around scope management, financial management, and service level agreements (SLA), ensuring compliance to mitigate risk, increase service/business impact, and reduce costs.
- Provide regular updates on ongoing projects and operational matters/issues related to data services.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing relevant policies and procedures, and documentation for effective management of new and supported data services.
- Implement and monitor compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Assist in budgeting for projects and operations related to data services.
- Assist in preparing data services for IT audits and other tasks assigned by the reporting officer.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar with related industry experience.
- 5 years of working experience with a minimum 2 years in either data analytics, data engineering, or database administration/design.
- Working knowledge of database technologies (e.g. MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and agile project methodology.
- Proven collaboration and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, independently and in teams.
- Working knowledge or certification in visualization tools (e.g. Qlik, PowerBI) and data pipeline tools (e.g. Denodo, Snowflake) will be an advantage.
