Position Overview

Siena Catholic Schools of Racine is in search of a seasoned Chief Financial Officer who embodies integrity and aligns with our mission, vision, and values. Key Responsibilities:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead and oversee the financial operations and strategic direction of Siena Catholic Schools of Racine. Collaborating with the President, Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, finance committee, and other key leaders, the CFO will allocate resources to meet strategic and financial objectives. The CFO will ensure adherence to accounting standards and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification is required.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cash flow forecasting and strategic financial planning.
  • Experience in banking, including loans and deposits.
  • Familiarity with school accounting practices.
  • Must be a practicing Catholic who is mission-driven.

Essential Duties:

Accounting and Audit:

  • Establish and maintain accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting systems to ensure effective control and meet the informational needs of leadership and governing bodies.
  • Analyze financial reports and project trends, providing insights to leadership.
  • Direct the evaluation and development of accounting software to enhance reporting clarity and efficiency.
  • Oversee the accurate recording and reporting of financial data.

Budget and Financial Reporting:

  • Manage the annual budgeting process, including developing assumptions and projections.
  • Present the annual budget with observations and recommendations to leadership.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze financial performance against budgets and report significant trends.

Relationship Building:

  • Collaborate with senior management to set enrollment goals and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Act as a spokesperson for Siena Catholic Schools at community events.
  • Lead the Finance Department in implementing sound financial practices to ensure sustainability.
  • Enhance the efficiency of accounting functions and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Physical and Work Environment:

This role requires effective communication, the ability to read and interpret documents, and the capacity to work in a standard office environment with occasional travel for meetings and events. Flexibility in work hours is necessary, including some evenings and weekends.
