Position Overview

As a Robotic Welding Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Chattanooga team. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing innovative designs and enhancements for welding and robotic machinery to optimize efficiency, productivity, and ergonomics.
  • Conducting training sessions for operators and team leaders on effective weld setup, quality assurance, maintenance, and productivity enhancement.
  • Providing comprehensive support for large-scale enterprises, including new installations, integration, mechanical and electronic assistance, and equipment maintenance.
  • Implementing continuous improvements to existing welding and robotic cells to enhance operator usability, boost productivity, and elevate quality standards.
  • Strategically planning and recommending future equipment and facility needs.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality and production standards in compliance with ISO and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovate and refine welding and robotic machine designs for optimal performance.
  • Facilitate training for operators and crew leaders on welding setup, quality control, maintenance, and productivity strategies.
  • Drive continuous enhancements to current welding and robotic systems for improved operator experience and productivity.
  • Advise on future equipment and facility requirements.
  • Uphold quality and production standards in line with ISO and company guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in robotic welding cell integration.
  • Proven expertise in production MIG/MAG welding, spot welding, and laser welding.
  • Ability to configure welding parameters to ensure optimal weld fusion and quality.
  • Proficient in testing and inspecting welds for defects and troubleshooting issues.
  • Experience in programming and configuring robotic systems.
  • Knowledge of welding and robotic safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with equipment brands such as SKS, Fronius, Esab, Lincoln, Müller, H&W, Bosch, Trump, and Scansonic.
  • Expertise in the development, assembly, and integration of robotic cells, including mechanics, electronics, and PLC configurations.
  • Technical knowledge of robots from brands like YASKAWA (MOTOMAN), KUKA, FANUC, ABB, and HYUNDAI.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, including German, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, is essential for providing international support.
