Job Description

As a seasoned Sr. Software Development Engineer with expertise in Machine Learning, you will play a pivotal role in the Sponsored Products Ad Response Prediction Team at Amazon. This team is characterized by its collaborative spirit, tenacious drive, and camaraderie.

This dynamic community is on the hunt for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer who possesses a passion for innovation at the intersection of customer experience, deep learning, and large-scale machine-learning systems. You will be responsible for spearheading the technical trajectory of ML solutions, ensuring their efficacy, reliability, and scalability.

We're looking for a highly skilled Sr. SDE ML to join our Sponsored Products Ad Response Prediction team and elevate our business to new heights. Your mission will be to deliver superior real-time machine learning services, connecting shoppers with perfectly-matched ads across all platforms and surfaces globally. By developing a profound understanding of shoppers and products, you will help shoppers uncover products they'll adore, provide the most efficient platform for advertisers to reach their customers, and enable Amazon to continually innovate for the benefit of all its customers.

Your responsibilities will include designing, coding, troubleshooting, and supporting scalable machine-learning pipelines and online serving systems. You'll also work with implementing end-to-end ML solutions and optimizing their performance. Beyond being a passionately motivated individual contributor, you'll also mentor junior engineers, guiding them to realize their full potential.

What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
