Job Overview

I. General Summary

Under close supervision, the role involves performing cleaning and sanitizing tasks within designated areas of the facility. It is essential to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff, adhering to standards established by regulatory bodies.

II. Key Responsibilities

The following points outline the primary duties associated with this position. This list is not exhaustive and may include additional responsibilities as required.

  1. Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, which may involve vacuuming, dusting, bed maintenance, and the disposal of general and hazardous waste.
  2. Maintain cleanliness in discharge areas, medical wards, utility spaces, kitchens, treatment rooms, operating theaters, offices, medical supply areas, and restrooms, following strict infection control protocols.
  3. Sanitize isolation rooms in accordance with hospital policies.
  4. Perform general cleaning duties in public spaces such as corridors, offices, elevators, and staircases.
  5. Comply with all departmental sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
