Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is looking for a dedicated Residential Services Supervisor to oversee operations at a developmental center. This role involves monitoring programs and activities focused on the personal care and treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities. The supervisor will coordinate and review the work of direct care staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and evaluate programs and activities related to the care of individuals served.
- Act as a working supervisor, providing guidance and support to staff.
- Participate in an Interdisciplinary Team to assist in the development and execution of individualized support plans.
- Train and mentor subordinate staff to ensure effective program implementation.
- Collect and analyze data as outlined in Individual Support Plans.
- Inspect living areas to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
- Complete and review necessary documentation, including reports and logs.
- Provide coverage for other units as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate of Arts Degree in health or human services or related field.
- Two years of direct care experience in a residential care setting or supervisory experience in a similar environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising staff in a professional capacity.
- Experience assessing operational needs and delegating tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities.
- Experience in quality assurance activities.
- Experience in training and guiding staff.
Conditions of Employment
- Ability to physically restrain individuals if necessary.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to utilize office equipment and technology.
- Travel may be required for job duties.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
