Job Description

SMS is a leading full-service business development firm serving small to medium-sized businesses. We are seeking a skilled Outside Sales Executive to join our team and help drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, B2B, and business development, with a proven track record of success. They will be able to communicate effectively with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions that meet their requirements.

This is a great opportunity for a sales professional who wants to take their career to the next level. With a base salary of $65,000 and realistic first year commissions ranging from $20,000 to $30,000, this role offers a competitive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing for appointments received from assistant the day prior
  • Directing 3-4 sales leads daily with owners of small to medium sized businesses
  • Conducting our innovative hybrid approach to qualifying potential business for new sales leads
  • Contacting Business Coordinator with feedback from appointments and sharing new business lead opportunities

Requirements:

  • At least three years of business ownership experience and/or three years of face-to-face direct sales, outside sales, B2B, Business Development experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary
  • Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with ability to work effectively with little or no supervision
  • Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships, particularly with business owners, presidents and CEO's
  • Good communicator—excellent listening skills and ability to uncover the real 'pain' a client might be experiencing
