Position Overview:
Dexian - Signature Consultants is seeking a skilled Business Analyst specializing in Capital Markets. This role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and ensure effective management of hedge fund accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define team objectives and oversee daily operations related to hedge fund accounting, including production scheduling and management of service level agreements (SLAs).
- Engage in hands-on portfolio and fund accounting tasks, such as trade processing, security master setup, and capital activity management including subscriptions and redemptions.
- Generate comprehensive reports using portfolio packages, including trial balances, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant ledger reports.
- Facilitate internal and external audit processes, addressing queries and documenting procedures effectively.
- Conduct regular client communications to gather business requirements and coordinate with business unit teams regarding project milestones and challenges.
- Lead performance evaluations and appraisals for team members on a monthly and yearly basis.
- Develop and implement Excel-based macros to automate processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
- Create a product knowledge assessment tool to facilitate a transparent evaluation of individual competencies.
- Assist in the preparation of Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD) in collaboration with senior analysts.
- Provide essential information and support to the development team regarding account setups and matching rules.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for sample accounts and relay feedback to the business unit and development teams.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a member of a collaborative team comprising business analysts, developers, testers, and scrum masters.
- Extensive background in Business Analysis and Requirements documentation.
- Experience supporting solution development across various groups involved in the trade lifecycle, including front office, middle office, finance, operations, compliance, and risk management.
- Hands-on experience delivering solutions for various financial instruments such as interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange derivatives, futures, bonds, and money market instruments.
- Experience working within an agile software development environment.
- Ability to collaborate with teams located in diverse geographical regions.
- Solid understanding of balance sheets and income statements.
- Comfortable working with technologies such as Python, Java, and Angular2.
- Strong communication skills and experience in cross-functional organizations.
- Over 10 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Requirements documentation.
- More than 10 years of experience in delivering technology solutions within Capital Markets.
- At least 5 years of experience working with clients or stakeholder groups to address challenges and design effective solutions in an Agile setting.
