Key Responsibilities:

  • Define team objectives and oversee daily operations related to hedge fund accounting, including production scheduling and management of service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Engage in hands-on portfolio and fund accounting tasks, such as trade processing, security master setup, and capital activity management including subscriptions and redemptions.
  • Generate comprehensive reports using portfolio packages, including trial balances, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant ledger reports.
  • Facilitate internal and external audit processes, addressing queries and documenting procedures effectively.
  • Conduct regular client communications to gather business requirements and coordinate with business unit teams regarding project milestones and challenges.
  • Lead performance evaluations and appraisals for team members on a monthly and yearly basis.
  • Develop and implement Excel-based macros to automate processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Create a product knowledge assessment tool to facilitate a transparent evaluation of individual competencies.
  • Assist in the preparation of Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD) in collaboration with senior analysts.
  • Provide essential information and support to the development team regarding account setups and matching rules.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for sample accounts and relay feedback to the business unit and development teams.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a member of a collaborative team comprising business analysts, developers, testers, and scrum masters.
  • Extensive background in Business Analysis and Requirements documentation.
  • Experience supporting solution development across various groups involved in the trade lifecycle, including front office, middle office, finance, operations, compliance, and risk management.
  • Hands-on experience delivering solutions for various financial instruments such as interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange derivatives, futures, bonds, and money market instruments.
  • Experience working within an agile software development environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams located in diverse geographical regions.
  • Solid understanding of balance sheets and income statements.
  • Comfortable working with technologies such as Python, Java, and Angular2.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in cross-functional organizations.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Requirements documentation.
  • More than 10 years of experience in delivering technology solutions within Capital Markets.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with clients or stakeholder groups to address challenges and design effective solutions in an Agile setting.
