Capital Markets Associate

At BankTalent HQ, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Capital Markets Associate to join our Business Initiatives Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving various sized initiatives across the Capital Markets division, ensuring efficient and effective execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Initiatives Management, COO, Division Heads/Team Members, and strategic partners to drive initiatives across the Capital Markets division.
  • Create and deliver executive communications, presentations, reporting, and metrics for the supported businesses and the function itself.
  • Daily collaboration with Capital Markets business heads/employees and other key stakeholders to ensure successful business and risk management outcomes.
  • Maintain a culture of continuous monitoring and evaluation of processes and controls, escalating and resolving risks and breaks in a timely manner.
  • Drive results and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Occasional travel to office locations with Capital Markets team members and/or business constituents/strategic enablers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field, and 4+ years of Business Management, Management Consulting, Business Operations, and/or Project Management experience in Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of capital markets products, services, and markets, including Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income Securities, Loan Syndications, Securities Underwriting, Real Estate Capital Markets, and Investment Banking/Advisory.
  • Advanced level knowledge and experience creating management-level presentations, reporting, and analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience driving various sized initiatives across a Capital Markets platform, including scope, goals, planning, execution, monitoring, and implementation.
  • Knowledge of capital markets industry norms, best practices, and applicable regulations (OCC, FINRA, MSRB, CFTC, etc.).
  • Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business as a leader and business partner, with a clear client and risk management orientation.
  • High level of focus on work quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and track details.
  • Expert level knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint/Teams.
