Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at Hendersonville Pediatrics. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet patients and visitors, manage phone calls, and schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Patient Communication: Provide accurate and empathetic information to patients, families, and caregivers regarding medical procedures, test results, and billing information.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform data entry, maintain accurate records, and process patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Exercise diplomacy and tact when handling patient complaints and concerns, and refer complex issues to designated personnel as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum one year of medical secretary/receptionist experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Advanced computer knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with flexibility to accommodate changing needs and occasional travel to secondary locations.

  • Competitive Pay: $17.40 - $18.40 per hour.
