About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems for various projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, select, and specify engineered systems or products for projects
  • Independently complete calculations and drawings for small and medium projects
  • Develop job-specific discipline specifications independently for less complex projects
  • Lead junior engineers in complex projects
  • Work with and coordinate with architectural, interiors, and other engineering disciplines
  • Perform Construction Administration duties, including completing field observations reports, responding to RFIs, submittal reviews, and evaluating contractor change orders
  • Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and Owner clients
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 or more years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering license is required, Structural Engineering license is preferred
  • Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit)
  • Experience with general business software (Microsoft Office suite)
  • Experience with industry-standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.)
