Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
- Provide exceptional customer service to production staff, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for all equipment and processes.
- Mentor and train junior technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with special projects and initiatives as required.
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate records in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Oversee forklift fleet maintenance, ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained and compliant with OSHA regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, with the ability to plan and think strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and mentor diverse groups of individuals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- High school education or equivalent required.
Working Conditions:
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, with the ability to judge when assistance is needed.
- Work in a loud and fast-paced environment, with moderate noise levels.
- Stand, sit, and walk around the office and production warehouse, with frequent use of hands and arms.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
