Maintenance Technician II Job Description

At Paradigm Windows, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to production staff, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for all equipment and processes.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with special projects and initiatives as required.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Oversee forklift fleet maintenance, ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained and compliant with OSHA regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, with the ability to plan and think strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and mentor diverse groups of individuals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • High school education or equivalent required.

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, with the ability to judge when assistance is needed.
  • Work in a loud and fast-paced environment, with moderate noise levels.
  • Stand, sit, and walk around the office and production warehouse, with frequent use of hands and arms.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
